Kick off to Summer Celebration Beach Day

Join my tiny human and me as we celebrate the end of the school year and kick off Summer with a beach/lake day!

Beginning at 10:30 AM bring your coolers, chairs, beach equipment and toys, umbrellas, snacks, lunches, water, sunscreen, and anything else you might need to enjoy a day full of fun and sun!

Amenities include access to the beach, a fully fenced and gated park that is easily accessible from the beach, a volleyball net (on the sand), and a restaurant within viewing distance. Bathrooms with a changing area are available.

I will be bringing a few beach tools and toys, cold water (limited supply), games, and music.

Come hang out and catch up, make new friends, and help me choose some of our upcoming summer activities. You will also be the first to know about those we already have planned.

June Birthdays will also be celebrated!

Don’t forget to grab your entry ticket into our giveaway at check in. I will be in tie-dye and a tie-dye umbrella. Come find me!

This will also be the time to pick up any shop orders such as our take and make crafts, tie-dye kits, sensory bins and fidget packs. Sales from these and our shop help fund our free and low cost events (such as this one) library events, field trips, sensory spaces, and Bored Game days.

PLEASE NOTE:

You MUST sign our waiver prior to attending. If the waiver is not signed, you will not be able to access the community.

THERE IS NO LIFEGUARD, COAST GUARD, OR ANY SAFETY SUPERVISION ON DUTY. You are solely responsible for the safety of yourself, your families, and belongings.

DRIVE THE SPEED LIMIT (25-35) and often times they have speed checks positioned throughout the community. They can and will ticket you and I (try landlord) will receive a fine. Any fines incurred on my end will be expected to be paid by you and an assumed agreement by signing our waiver and attending. Additionally, community beach and park rules are expected to be adhered to.

Burying people in or beneath the sand prohibited.

You must stay in the designated swimming areas (designated by buoy).

ACCOMODATIONS AND SENSORY CONDITIONS:

The sand is not true beach sand and as such is a bit bigger granular than those at the ocean. While this is not necessarily noticeable, for those who have sensory particulars, it may feel different. You can still manipulate it and build sand castles and such).

Shade is very minimal and might not be available.

Boats, jet skis, and other water vehicles are allowed by registered residents. Although not near the swimming area, their sounds or exhaust may be present at any given time.The lake is open to all residents in the community and as such, Beach spaces are available at a first come basis. I cannot guarantee (nor is required) that all those attending the event can set up a sit together.

There are ducks and geese that are free range. Please do not feed them. They are usually harmless and unless threatened or messed with, will keep to themselves. They are usually not close to where people set up on the beach but please be aware and be mindful. This is their space first and foremost and we must respect it.

The restaurant is more of a fine dining establishment. They do have a huge patio for setting (and can order from there), however, their menu is limited. The restaurant opens at noon.

Additionally, as the beach is open to all residents in the community, Mentoring Tiny Humans cannot guarantee who or how many will be in attendance, their adherence to the beach rules, or the expectations set forth by Mentoring Tiny Humans

Mentoring Tiny Humans is neurodivergent owned and operated. I am licensed and insured educator and charter school vendor, CPR certified, and experienced with AAC as a user. As always, our events are exclusively curated and held in a neuro-affirming environment and includes:

✅ No required or dedicated time for introduction for participants.

✅Small class and event sizes

✅Flexible purchase and availability options

✅ Minimal or no greetings that allow for all preferences and needs; you don’t have to say hi, shake hands, or engage in eye contact.

✅ Safe Space with no expectations- sit in a group, with friends, family, or separately. Stay as long as you like, or as little as you need. There is no need for goodbye greetings or stereotypical decorum, if your child is overloaded or overstimulated, we can connect another time. If needed, please bring and utilize tools and supports that can help your tiny human and family get through the events.
