ACCOMODATIONS/SENSORY CONSIDERATIONS

Mentoring Tiny Humans classes, events, and field trips are curated for all ages and all abilities and includes

✅Neuro-affirming environment

✅Dedicated sensory space

✅No loud music

✅Front loading of activities

✅No required or dedicated time for introduction for participants.

✅Minimal or no greetings that allow for all preferences and needs; you don’t have to say hi, shake hands, or engage in eye contact.

✅For the sensory sensitive, those with OCD, etc. We have gloves available. Just ask.

✅Safe Space with no expectations- sit in a group, with friends, family, or separately. Stay as long as you like, or as little as you need. There is no need for goodbye greetings or stereotypical decorum, if your child is overloaded or overstimulated, we can connect another time. If needed, please bring and utilize tools and supports that can help your tiny human and family get through the events.

Play clothing suggested and beware there is a hill you must walk down to access all of the enclosures (there are several enclosures without this lower level access, just keep this in mind). Wheelchair, stroller, and stroller wagon access is available.

The facility does have some shaded seating areas, however, the alpaca enclosures are shaded only by trees. Attendees will be exposed to direct sunlight (whether permitting). Additionally, the animals are in big open spaces and while there is minimal odor, for those sensitive to smells, it might be more prominent. But based on my own personal experience, this has never been an issue for any of our attendees in the 8 years I have hosted.
