We are busy getting ready for our Fall semester and 2024/2025 school year and canā€™t wait to share with you all that we have planned!

A Bit About Us

For those of you who are new to Mentoring Tiny Humans or our semester long classes, we strive to create a co-op or pod like vibe, much like our singular events, but with opportunities for our learners and families to engage on a more regular basis.

I am also the only wholly intentional neuro-affirming and sensory considerate educator in Riverside County with our homeschool Hub the first of its kind to offer classes and educational opportunities entirely geared toward toward the neurodivergent, extra needs, or alternative learners (however, all are welcome). This includes smaller class sizes, drop off or drop in options for learners who need a caregiver present, our mobile sensory space available at a times, movement breaks, visuals and more. To learn more about our neuro-affirming environment and a little bit about what makes our classes so unique, click here.

Our classes and events are for all ages and abilities and their families. I am licensed and insured, CPR certified, and a registered vendor with several of the charter school in the area for the homeschooling families who would like to use charter funds or those with self-determination funding.

Classes and Updates

Our regularly scheduled classes are back, including our Fundamentals of Felines class where we bring our very own therapy cat(s), our Arts, Crafts, and Tie-dying, Immersive Science, and our Creative Writing, Journaling and Literature class for our reluctant readers and writers, along with our Learning with LEGO classes.

In addition, we are also expanding our LEGO classes to include a First LEGO League option for those interested in technic and robotics with the included (but optional entry) into the end of the year competition put on by LEGO Education. This has been a several years in the making as I strive to make sure all ages and all abilities can still contribute and participate, no matter their physical ability or LEGO ability and knowledge. Along with ensuring there are affordable for all families who would like to participate.

We will also be switching a few things up and offering full day and rates for our core classes that provide more flexible opportunities for our learners, but still hits those K-12 standards!

Subscription Boxes and Educational Supplies

If you canā€™t make our classes, donā€™t forget to check out our shop! We have many educational items and products as well as subscription boxes available such as tie-dying kits, craft boxes, and fidget and sensory boxes. Much of our products are educational and can be ordered via charter/homeschooling funds. Sales from our shop help fund our free community events, community sensory spaces, library events, and more!

Ms. Reshma, Day Camps, and Activities

Our favorite art and drawing teacher Ms. Reshma with One world Many Views will be back for Fall Semester! Not only will she be back for our Thursday scheduling, but we will also be offering two six weeks classes on Fridays beginning with storybook art (the first 6 weeks), and 3D art the following six weeks.

Thursdays we will have her for two classes, one designed for the older crowd and/or those who are able to focus and concentrate for longer periods of time on those more intricate pieces of art.

Also, our one-of-a-kind class for mixed ages. This is a great introduction to art and those, like my tiny human, who are more active. We have really created a unique class that allows creativity and imagination to run amok with mixed textures and alternative techniques (like painting with marbles).Ā  Additionally, if your tiny human requires a bit of redirection, or may require a bit more hand-ons collaboration or help, this would be the class for them!

During the month of December we will have special winter day camp opportunities by both Mentoring Tiny Humans and Ms. Reshma. These will be available in addition to the semester long classes offered and will not interfere with our regular scheduled classes.

Freestyle Movement Class

New to our Homeschool Hub get ready to move and groove! This year we are so excited to partner with The disABILITY Sports Foundation, to provide an adaptive movement and music class as part of our communication and social skills classes and opportunities. Our inclusive freestyle movement classes will cater to age groups: 5-11 years (grades K-5) and 12-17+ years (grades 6-12+).

All Individuals with

diverse abilities are welcome. The class approach will accommodate

both ambulatory and non-ambulatory individuals, as well as those with

sensory issues. Reasonable accommodations will be available to assist

individuals of all abilities. Modifications such as brighter lighting, lower

sound levels, sound reactive light bars will be utilized to enhance the

accessibility to all individuals.

A non-profit organization, ā€œThe disABILITY Sports Foundation seeks to enrich the lives of individuals living with disabilities and their families within Southern California and improve their health and well being through the benefits of sports and recreationā€ as per their website. This class will fulfill a physical education component through moment, music, and other physical activity. Check out their website for more information on what they do and further ways to help support them in their goals.

Field Trips and Other Activities

Exclusive Educational Tour with Blaze Pizza and Mentoring Tiny Humans

We also have several beginning of the school year celebrations, special classes, and planning events such as our Homeschooling 101 series, ID cards and school photos, our first day of school field trip to the San Diego Safari Park, and our exclusive field trips to Blaze Pizza. As well as our park days, tours, and other events throughout the year. For the homeschoolers, I am waiting on vendor approval so hopefully charter funds can be used. Stay tuned as I will post as soon as details are solidified.

Until then, check out our website, sign up for our newsletter, and donā€™t forget to like and follow us on social media (even add us as a favorite) so you donā€™t miss out on the latest updates. As many of you know its often difficult for me to post physically or just time wise and unfortunately, it doesnā€™t always coincide with the algorithms.

For more information or sign up for our classes, questions on our classes or educational materials, or accommodation needs, please reach out to Typhanie at mentoringtinyhumans.com.

We will see you soon for another great year!
