Mentoring Tiny Humans is celebrating Earth Day (and Neighborhood Forest Day, and Arbor Day) by partnering with Neighborhood Forest, a non-profit organization that aims “to give every child the priceless joy of planting and watching trees grow,” according to their website.
“By doing so, we will beautify our neighborhoods, put a significant dent in our carbon footprint, and help instill in the hearts of our little ones a sense of magic, wonder, and love for our planet.”
In 2025 Neighborhood Forest gave over 112,000+ kids their very own tree for Earth Day!
Mentoring Tiny Humans is so proud to partner with such a great organization and because of so many of you, together we helped to create a notable contribution in southern California and even got an honorable mention in their impact survey for 2025!
Since 2020, they have handed out over 280,000 trees, growing the urban canopy score, decreasing tree inequity, and combatting the Urban Heat Island Effect! For more information check out their full 2025 impact survey here.
We are so excited to be selected to partner with them again this year and cant wait to
celebrate Earth Day 2026 by helping to facilitate tree distribution to the tiny humans of our local community.
Not only will we be having a special Earth Day celebration and pick up event, we are also partnering with local co-ops, schools, charter/homeschool groups, and mom groups to help reduce deliver pollution, by acting as a central hub for these groups to pick up for their own festivities. This allows us to further contribute by decreasing the manpower and distribution efforts on Neighborhood Forest, their volunteers, and local organizations and businesses associated with the program.

We also have the honor of being able to showcase their prototype board game at our Learning Through Gaming class and upcoming events including our community Bored Game days. In partnership with NuMind Games, this collaborative game is both educational and fun! Think Minecraft with trees and in IRL😂.
We are working on our Earth day events and can’t wait to share all that we have planned, including further distribution and educational and community service opportunities beginning and continuing through the week of April 20.
Until then, reserve your free tree for your tiny learner, pod, charter, or homeschooling group through Neighborhood Forest by signing up here.

Sign up to our email list and follow us on Facebook, Instagram, or Tik Tok for the latest information on distribution, events, and more shenanigans!
The deadline to sign-up is March 15th with delivery expected by Earth day.Co-ops, teachers, schools, and other groups can expect to pick up a few days prior. The exact species will be revealed in early April. More details announced as we get them.
Last year our goal was to get 200 trees to learners and we met our goal! This year our personal goal this year is to get 300 trees to 300 children and students, and I would love your help. I think we can do it!
Check out some of the fun from our past years events below and stay tuned for more information!
